PROJECTS

The following projects are partnering with the Earth HoloGenome initiative

Mobirise

Hologenomic underpinnings of ecological niches

Aims to generate population-level paired genomic and metagenomic data of 20 vertebrates, to study the link between microbiomic breadth and plasticity with animals' ecological niche and adaptation capacity.

-
Mobirise

Adaptive responses to climatic variability across species ranges

Aims to identify host and gut microbiota genetic variation associated with climatic adaptations in the European forest specialist bat Plecotus auritus.

-
Mobirise

Elucidating the host genomic determinants of the gut microbiota composition and dynamism

Aims to elucidate the host genomic determinants of gut microbiota composition and dynamism using wild rodents as model species

-
Mobirise

The role of the gut microbiota in rapid adaptation to aridity

Aims to characterise changes in gut microbiota composition and function in a Mediterranean bat (Pipistrellus kuhlii) that recently expanded its distribution into arid environments.
